The members of Charleston County Council seek the input and help of all residents of Charleston County through the County's boards and commissions. Serving on a board or commission is an excellent way to give back to the community. Members have the opportunity to serve their fellow citizens and provide guidance and recommendations on specific issues. They contribute to the public process and help make a positive impact in Charleston County. In addition, board members and commissioners have opportunities to socialize, network, and build their professional skillset and resume.

How to Apply

Charleston County Council encourages residents of Charleston County who are willing to volunteer to serve on one of these important boards to submit an application for appointment. Applications are accepted for vacant seats each quarter.
